About MONTE FINO Yachts

Monte Fino Yachts are built by world renowned Kha Shing Enterprises, founded in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, by the Gong brothers in 1977, who were previously engaged in building traditional fishing boats.

Today, Kha Shing is easily the biggest shipyard in Taiwan and one of the larger boat builders worldwide, with more than 1000 vessels built and admired around the world.

The Kha Shing yard has its own construction pond that can hold up to twelve yachts at any one time. All interior woodworking is built on the yachts while floating in the pond in order to attain perfect fit and alignment.

Monte Fino Yachts has acquired the exclusive European rights to market three yachts formerly sold under the Trader brand

The three motor yachts were originally marketed as the 64 Sunliner, the 575 Sunliner and the 535 Signature, and will continue to be build by Ka Shing Shipyard in Taiwan, which owns the rights to the designs (the 64 is owned jointly with naval architect Tony Castro) and also builds the Monte Fino range.

These highly regarded, ocean going motor yachts will be rebranded the Monte Fino T range and a 495 model will be added as the smallest member of the new range, replacing the former Trader Signature 475.

Monte Fino Europe sells 30.5m at London International Boat Show

Friday, 29 January 2010 Monte Fino Europe has announced that it sold a custom 30.5m semi‐displacement luxury superyacht at the 2010 London International Boat Show and in addition received a number of good quality enquiries during the course of the ten day event.

A number of the larger new style Monte Finos in the 96 to 100ft range have now been sold since the recent restyling of the entire range was completed by Humphreys Yacht Design. This one will be delivered to its European buyer from the Kha Shing yard later on next year and will have accommodation for eight guests, plus four crew in separate quarters aft of the engine room. Propulsion is by two 1550 HP Caterpillar C32 diesel engines, giving a maximum speed of 18 knots and cruising speed of 13 knots.

With a beam of 6.86m (22’8”) this 100ft superyacht has substantial interior volume giving spacious accommodation even for a vessel of this size, and her layout and finish will be fully customised according to the wishes of the commissioning owner. The specification package with regard to systems and overall fit out is also both comprehensive and high quality.
